Wibond

An innovative flexible device will be designed and manufactured to allow structural bonding of a SAT composite wingbox.
The device will be used to join the inner ribs and the lower panel to the upper panel where are already cocured 3 Spar.
To allow the control of an effective bonding a SHM system based on fiber optic sensors will be incorporated into the bonding line.

THE PROJECT

The final aim of the project is the manufacturing of a Tool (JIG) for the bonding of a complete wing
